△ Chairman Cai Jianyong (eighth from left) signed key cooperation projects with Indonesian partners
On November 14, the 2023 China (Zhejiang) - Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Lu Kang, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, attended the Conference and delivered a speech. More than 350 attendees to the Conference included Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress; Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly, Minister of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia; Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia; the representatives of major Indonesian chambers of commerce and industry enterprises; and the representatives of Chinese enterprises.
As one of the representatives of Chinese enterprises, Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the Conference. Chairman Cai Jianyong signed the nickel-iron production project with Indonesian partners at the signing event.

This year coincides with not only the tenth anniversary of jointly building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road put forward by President Xi Jinping in Indonesia, but also the tenth anniversary of China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership. During the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held before this Conference, the Chinese side proposed that China and Indonesia should deepen the integration of our industrial and supply chains, and follow the principle of extensive consultation, joint contributions, and shared benefits, for the purpose of pursuing common development through greater complementarity. China supports relevant localities and enterprises to participate in major project development and construction.
△Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, met with Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defense of Indonesia, Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment of Indonesia and Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board of Indonesia, and Boy Thohir, Chairman of the China Committee at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In 10 years, China has become Indonesia's top trading partner and the second largest source of investment. Taking advantage of the booming bilateral relations between China and Indonesia, Zhejiang business people have seized the opportunity to forge ahead and make great contributions to Indonesia's economic and social development. Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. has invested in the construction of the OBI Industrial Park on Indonesia's OBI Island. With the “double-line” nickel ore smelting layout of “RKEF + HPAL”, it worked together with Indonesia to explore the circular economy and ecological economy of the OBI Industrial Park, create a new industrial town and establish high-quality overseas demonstration cases, thus achieving mutual benefit, win-win outcomes and integrated development.
Currently, China is advancing high-quality development and high-standard opening-up, injecting greater energy into the modernization of countries around the world. This time, Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, led a delegation from Zhejiang Province to visit Indonesia and Thailand, further promoting exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises and making Zhejiang's contribution to serving China’s overall diplomacy.
