On September 5, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council attended a series of meetings on East Asia cooperation in Indonesia and made an official visit to Indonesia. During his stay in Indonesia, he attended and delivered a speech at China-Indonesia Business Dinner held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Chairman Cai Jianyong, as one of the representatives of the business communities of the two countries, attended the dinner as well.

Premier Li Qiang stated that China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good brothers, and good partners facing each other across the sea, and the friendly relationship between the two nations has been enduring. The cooperation between the two countries goes beyond bilateral scope and has exemplary and guiding significance for regional stability and prosperity. Peaceful development and win-win cooperation are the only paths China and Indonesia as major developing countries must take towards national rejuvenation and people's happiness. Entrepreneurs should strengthen their confidence in cooperation, seek development in deepening cooperation, and win the future by taking advantage of the situation. China is willing to work with Indonesia to expand cooperation in fields such as green energy, digital economy, biomedicine, AI, and promote further expansion and efficiency of bilateral cooperation.

Since 2018, Lygend Resources has jointly invested and constructed wet and pyrometallurgical nickel laterite smelting projects with Indonesian partners on OBI Island in Indonesia, using the industry-leading high-pressure acid leaching and RKEF smelting processes, with an annual designed production capacity of 400,000t nickel metals. At present, there are three production lines and the nickel sulfate production for the wet smelting project having been put into operation; in addition, there are eight production lines for the pyrometallurgical smelting project having been put into operation, creating tens of thousands of job opportunities in the local area and effectively promoting cultural exchange and friendship inheritance between China and Indonesia.

Furthermore, Lygend Resources is the first in Indonesia to realize the production of the wet smelting project and the supporting nickel sulfate production line. It produces nickel-cobalt compound intermediates and battery-grade nickel sulfate needed for the raw materials of new energy vehicle batteries, helping to shape the new momentum and new advantages of the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry.
