Preface
At 13:00 on September 26 (Eastern Indonesian Time), 7 people, including Jiang Xinfang, President of Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company" or "Lygend"), and his entourage, arrived at the HPAL pier on the OBI Island to conduct on-site supervision work in the Lygend OBI Park for about a month. The entourage included Wang Duodong, Chief Engineer of Lygend Technology Center; Wei Xiangfang and Ni Shumin, members of RKEF Expert Committee; Cao Yongjian, Chief Engineer of HPAL; Liu Xuanliang, General Manager of Pengyuan Company; and Wang Yifei, Assistant to the General Manager of the Business Unit.
On site overview
At 15:00 p.m., President Jiang and his entourage went to the site of RKEF Phase I to learn about the progress of the Project. They were accompanied by Zhang Baodong, General Manager of OBI Park Management Company; Li Xiang, Executive Deputy General Manager of HJF Company; Li Yujun, Director of the Construction Management Department of the Business Unit; Zhang Jihong, Chief Engineer of HJF; and Chen Mingtao, Director of the Production Department of HJF. President Jiang inquired in details about the trial operation of the No. 4 RKEF production line, and inspected the current status of devices including submerged arc furnaces, rotary kilns, and gas generators one by one. Immediately after that, President Jiang convened the first on-site office meeting, heard the preparations before the tapping of the No. 4 production line, and the completion status of engineering nodes for the other 7 production lines, and clearly provided solutions and guidance for the difficulties and problems encountered in the Project. President Jiang stressed that the RKEF Phase I Project Team must ensure the successful tapping of the No. 4 production line by mid-October!
At 8:00 a.m. on September 27, President Jiang and his entourage arrived at the site of RKEF supporting power plant. Accompanied by Deputy General Manager Fan Songyong and Chief Engineer Shan Yugang, President Jiang took a close inspection at the coal conveying pipe gallery, 2# generating unit boiler, turbine, central control room and other process units, inquired in details about the operation and transmission of the generating unit, and required relevant departments to provide stable power guarantee for the tapping of the No. 4 RKEF production line.
At the subsequent on-site brief meeting, President Jiang met with the leaders of the contractors of the RKEF Phase I Production Project: Liu Jinbo, Project Manager of Shanghai Baoye Group Corp., Ltd.; He Zhibiao, Project Manager of China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd.; and Xiao Guozhong, leader of power supply. President Jiang required them to strictly follow the project nodes to complete the construction tasks and power supply guarantee tasks for the remaining 7 production lines of the RKEF Phase I, and to ensure that they would be fully put into operation as scheduled.
At 14:00 p.m. on September 27, President Jiang went to the HPAL Production Department conference room again to attend the "HPAL Technical Evaluation Launch Conference and Management Members Symposium". At the Conference, firstly, HPAL On-site Executive Vice General Manager Shi Wentang read out the HPAL Technician Evaluation Trial Plan. Subsequently, Zhang Baodong, On-site General Manager of OBI Park Company and HPAL, made a mobilizing speech and announced that HPAL's output in August exceeded 4,145 tons, setting a new record. Finally, President Jiang Xinfang delivered a concluding speech. President Jiang firstly pointed out that the success of the HPAL Phase I Project was attributed to a highly capable and cohesive team, which was technically competent, had fine conduct, and promoted Lygend's sharing cultural tradition in institution-building. Secondly, President Jiang introduced the OBI Park and Lygend's future development plan, analyzed the advantages of the OBI Island, planned prospective projects such as nickel sulfate, precursors, and stainless steel, and demonstrated Lygend's grand development blueprint. Thirdly, President Jiang placed special emphasis on the importance of training, and pointed out that the Company has established three career development channels for the employees of "management category, technical category, and operation category" in the remuneration system, and the Company should strengthen capacity building of grassroots teams through various methods such as training classes and "master-apprentice tutorials", make timely incentives for technicians who have passed the evaluation, and provide them with a higher and broader career development platform. President Jiang's speech was full of sincere words and earnest wishes, brimming with warm feelings and taking a clear stand, which greatly encouraged the attending managers, winning long and loud applause. The Conference was chaired by Xie Sheng, On-site Deputy General Manager of the Park Company and HPAL. The attendees included Cao Yongjian, Chief Engineer of HPAL; Song Yongping and Xu Yaowu, deputy general managers in charge; and the leaders of the department, workshops, and offices.
